"Giving Difficult Feedback: Holding Staff Professionally Accountable"
National research shows that the vast majority of childcare professionals
are uncomfortable with direct confrontation. We would rather avoid the
problem in hopes that it will just go away. Instead, the problem looms
larger as our self-esteem and staff morale plummet. We can turn this pattern
around! Come learn a proven 5-step process for effective staff confrontation.
Even if you come with butterflies in your stomach, you will leave this
workshop with the tools you need to take action appropriately and respectfully.
Target Audience: All early care and education program Directors,
management staff, early childhood leaders, and future early childhood
leaders are welcome.
Please download the MS
Word document for full details and the registration form. Registration
is due by January 17th.

Holly Elissa Bruno will teach a teleclass on how to eliminate gossip

(put this number somewhere handy, you'll need it for all teleclasses)
Transforming Workplace Power Dynamics
This teleclass is an invitation to choose professionalism over gossip.
Leaving covert dynamics (gossip) behind makes room for mutual problem
solving envisioned by our professional code of ethics. Women share an
abundance of productive, collegial, supportive dynamics; gossip undermines
these strengths. We have the power to create, implement, and enforce policies
and procedures to shoo gossip out the door.
