Each photo links to a full size image: Holly Elissa Bruno, author, teacher and keynote speaker in early childhood education leadership, describes herself as a "recovering" attorney. As an attorney, Holly Elissa served as assistant attorney general for the state of Maine, in the criminal law division. She was selected "outstanding professor" at the University of Maine-Augusta, where she also served as Dean of Faculty. Holly Elissa's articles have been published in "Child Care Exchange", NAEYC's Young Children, The Southern Early Educational Journal, and NCCCC's "Visions" Journal. Her keynotes have delighted audiences from Budapest to Milwaukee, and Boston to Tampa. She teaches management courses for Wheelock College, and has been a featured speaker at the NAEYC annual conference, NCAA, NBCDI, NAACP, Smartstart, Headstart, and numerous state and regional conferences. Her early childhood leadership and administration textbook, based on emotional intelligence research, theory and practice, will be published by Mcgraw-Hill in time for the fall 2008 semester. Holly Elissa Bruno, MA, JD, has delighted audiences from Budapest to Milwaukee, Atlanta to LA, with her keynotes and featured workshops on leadership. Her articles appear in "Childcare Exchange"; the most recent (Sept/Oct. '05) was "At the End of the Day: Legal and Ethical Issues at Release Time." Her published research on child care leaders nationally has provided us with valuable information; e.g. 80% of us are "conflict avoidant." A recovering attorney, Holly Elissa never leaves home without her sense of humor. Holly Elissa Bruno, MA, JD, has taught the "human side of management" course in a wide variety of states and cultures across the country. She is well known as a featured speaker at NAEYC Annual Conferences and as a keynoter who has presented from Budapest to Milwaukee. Her articles appear in "Childcare Exchange." As a recovering attorney, Holly Elissa focuses on personnel and human rights law. Holly believes that working with adults is as much fun and as inspirational as working with children.
